Sahih al-Bukhari 514 (Book 8, Hadith 161) #497
Women Should Not Be Compared To Dogs Or Donkeys

SUMMARY: The hadith is about how a woman should not be compared to a dog or donkey, and how the Prophet (ﷺ) used to pray while Aisha was lying in bed between him and the Qibla.

Narrated 'Aisha: The things which annul prayer were mentioned before me (and those were): a dog, a donkey and a woman. I said, "You have compared us (women) to donkeys and dogs. By Allah! I saw the Prophet praying while I used to lie in (my) bed between him and the Qibla. Whenever I was in need of something, I disliked to sit and trouble the Prophet. So, I would slip away by the side of his feet".

QUICK LESSONS:
Respect women, Do not disturb people who are praying unnecessarily

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about how women should not be compared to dogs or donkeys. It was narrated by 'Aisha who said that she used to lie in bed between the Prophet ﷺ and the Qibla when he prayed. Whenever she needed something, she would slip away from his feet so as not to disturb him while he prayed. This hadith teaches us that women should be respected and treated with dignity, rather than being compared to animals like dogs or donkeys. It also shows us that we should always respect those who are praying by not disturbing them unnecessarily.
