QUICK LESSONS:
Ask for permission before doing anything with someone else’s body or property; Respect women’s decisions; Show respect towards others; Be modest and shy in certain situations; Express your opinion clearly when necessary.
EXPLANATIONS:
In this hadith narrated by 'Aisha, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ teaches us that a virgin's consent is expressed through her silence. This means that if a woman does not say no to something then it can be assumed that she has given her consent. This hadith also teaches us about the importance of shyness and modesty in Islam as it is seen as an expression of consent in this case. It also shows us how important it is to respect women and their decisions when it comes to matters such as marriage or any other situation where they may feel uncomfortable or shy. We should always make sure to ask for permission before doing anything with someone else's body or property and respect their wishes even if they do not explicitly say no.
