Forgetting Verses of the Quran

SUMMARY: Allah causes people to forget verses of the Quran.

Narrated 'Abdullah: The Prophet said, "Why does anyone of the people say, 'I have forgotten such-and-such Verses (of the Qur'an)?' He, in fact, is caused (by Allah) to forget".
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ‏ "‏ مَا لأَحَدِهِمْ يَقُولُ نَسِيتُ آيَةَ كَيْتَ وَكَيْتَ‏.‏ بَلْ هُوَ نُسِّيَ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about forgetting verses from the Qur'an. It was narrated by Abdullah, who said that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that when someone says they have forgotten a verse, it is actually Allah who has caused them to forget it. This teaches us that we should not be too hard on ourselves if we forget something, as it may be part of Allah's plan for us. We should also remember that everything happens for a reason and with Allah's will. Additionally, this hadith reminds us to always strive to remember and recite the Qur'an as much as possible so we can benefit from its teachings and guidance in our lives.
