Appreciating Recitation of the Qur'an

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) heard a man reciting the Qur'an in the mosque and showed appreciation for it.

Narrated Aisha: The Prophet heard a man reciting the Qur'an in the mosque and said, "May Allah bestow His Mercy on him, as he has reminded me of such-and-such Verses of such a Surah".
حَدَّثَنَا رَبِيعُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ قَالَتْ سَمِعَ النَّبِيُّ رَجُلاً يَقْرَأُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَقَالَ ‏ "‏ يَرْحَمُهُ اللَّهُ لَقَدْ أَذْكَرَنِي كَذَا وَكَذَا آيَةً مِنْ سُورَةِ كَذَا

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about appreciating those who recite the Quran in mosques. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ heard a man reciting the Quran and showed his appreciation by saying "May Allah bestow His Mercy on him, as he has reminded me of such-and-such Verses of such a Surah". This hadith teaches us to appreciate those who recite and study the Quran. It also shows us that we should be grateful for being able to learn from others who are knowledgeable about Islam. We should also take time out of our day to read and understand what is written in the Quran so that we can benefit from its teachings.
