The hadith is about understanding the different types of surahs in the Quran. There are two types - mufassal and muhkam. The mufassal surahs are those that contain long verses with many details while the muhkam ones have shorter verses that are more direct and clear in their meaning. This hadith also tells us that Ibn Abbas was able to learn these two types of surahs when he was only ten years old. This shows us how important it is to start learning about Islam from an early age so we can understand its teachings better as we grow older. It also teaches us to be patient and persistent in our studies so we can gain knowledge even if it takes time or effort.
