Sahih al-Bukhari 5032 (Book 66, Hadith 54) #4813
The Importance of Reciting the Qur'an

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) warned against forgetting verses of the Qur'an and encouraged reciting it regularly.

Narrated 'Abdullah: The Prophet said, "It is a bad thing that some of you say, 'I have forgotten such-and-such verse of the Qur'an,' for indeed, he has been caused (by Allah) to forget it. So you must keep on reciting the Qur'an because it escapes from the hearts of men faster than camel do".

QUICK LESSONS:
Recite and memorize verses from the Quran regularly
EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us that it is a bad thing to forget verses from the Quran. He encouraged us to keep on reciting it because our memories can be unreliable and we may forget what we have learned. It is important for us to recite the Quran regularly so that its teachings remain in our hearts and minds. We should also strive to memorize as much of it as possible so that we can benefit from its wisdom in our daily lives.
