The Importance of Reciting the Quran

SUMMARY: This hadith is about the importance of reciting the Quran and how it should not be forgotten or replaced with something else.

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: 'Umar said, Ubai was the best of us in the recitation (of the Qur'an) yet we leave some of what he recites'. Ubai says, 'PI have taken it from the mouth of Allah's Messenger and will not leave for anything whatever". But Allah said "None of Our Revelations do We abrogate or cause to be forgotten but We substitute something better or similar". 2.106

QUICK LESSONS:
Respect for knowledge , Follow Prophet Muhammad ﷺ teachings , Remember revelations given by Allah SWT , Substitute something better or similar instead of forgetting them .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith highlights the importance of reciting the Quran, which is a revelation from Allah. Umar was praising Ubai for his excellent recitation skills, but Ubai said that he only took it from Allah's Messenger and would not leave it for anything else. This shows that even though someone may have great skills in reciting, they must still take their knowledge from Allah's Messenger as a source of guidance. Furthermore, this hadith also mentions that none of Allah's revelations are to be forgotten or abrogated but rather substituted with something better or similar. This emphasizes how important it is to remember what has been revealed by Allah and to keep His words alive through our actions and deeds.
