This hadith tells us about how the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was taught to recite and understand the Qur'an. It is narrated that when he received revelation from Allah through Angel Gabriel, he asked for it to be recited in different ways so that he could understand it better. In this way, Angel Gabriel recited it seven times until the Prophet understood its meaning completely. This hadith teaches us that we should strive to learn and understand our religion properly and not just take things at face value without understanding their deeper meanings.
