Sahih al-Bukhari 4918 (Book 65, Hadith 438) #4698
Rewards of the Weak and Punishment of the Arrogant

SUMMARY: Weak and poor people who fulfill their oaths will be rewarded in Paradise, while violent, arrogant and stubborn people will be punished in Hell.

Narrated Haritha bin Wahb Al-Khuza'i: I heard the Prophet saying".May I tell you of the people of Paradise? Every weak and poor obscure person whom the people look down upon but his oath is fulfilled by Allah when he takes an oath to do something. And may I inform you of the people of the Hell-Fire? They are all those violent, arrogant and stubborn people".

QUICK LESSONS:
Be humble; Keep your promises; Be kind to others; Stay away from bad behavior like being violent or arrogant.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about how Allah rewards those who are weak and poor but fulfill their oaths, while punishing those who are violent, arrogant and stubborn. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is informing us that Allah rewards those who are humble and keep their promises even if they don't have much power or money. On the other hand, He punishes those who use violence to get what they want or act arrogantly towards others. This teaches us that we should always strive to be humble, honest and kind to others no matter our circumstances. We should also remember that Allah sees everything we do so it's important to stay away from bad behavior like being violent or arrogant because it won't go unnoticed by Him.
