Changing Allah's Favor into Disbelief

SUMMARY: This hadith explains the context of a verse from the Quran, which is about people who have changed Allah's favor into disbelief.

Narrated Ata: When Ibn 'Abbas heard:-- "Have you not seen those who have changed the favor of Allah into disbelief?" (14:28) he said, "Those were the disbelieving pagans of Mecca".
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، سَمِعَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏{‏أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ بَدَّلُوا نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ كُفْرًا‏}‏ قَالَ هُمْ كُفَّارُ أَهْلِ مَكَّةَ‏.‏

This hadith explains a verse from the Quran that speaks about those who have changed Allah's favor into disbelief. The narrator of this hadith is Ata ibn Abbass. This hadith teaches us to be grateful for all of Allah's favors and not to take them for granted or turn away from them in disbelief. We should remember that all blessings come from Allah and we should never forget His favors upon us.
