Sahih al-Bukhari 4691 (Book 65, Hadith 213) #4474
Patience in the Face of False Accusations

SUMMARY: This hadith is about how the Prophet (ﷺ) and 'Aisha responded to the false stories being spread about her. They showed patience and faith in Allah's help.

Narrated Um Ruman: Who was 'Aisha's mother: While I was with 'Aisha, 'Aisha got fever, whereupon the Prophet said, "Probably her fever is caused by the story related by the people (about her)". I said, "Yes". Then 'Aisha sat up and said, "My example and your example is similar to that of Jacob and his sons:--'Nay, but your minds have made up a tale. So (for me) patience is most fitting. It is Allah (alone) Whose help can be sought against that which you assert'. (12.18)

QUICK LESSONS:
Show patience & have faith in Allah’s help .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith tells us a story of how Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and his wife Aisha responded to false accusations that were being spread about her. Instead of getting angry or upset, they showed patience and faith in Allah's help. They reminded themselves that it is only Allah who can help them against what people are saying, just like Jacob did when his sons accused him of lying. This teaches us an important lesson - no matter what people say or do, we should always remain patient and have faith in Allah's help. We should never give up hope even if things seem difficult because with Allah's help anything is possible!
