Sahih al-Bukhari 4663 (Book 65, Hadith 185) #4446
Reassurance of Allah's Protection

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) was reassuring Abu Bakr that Allah is with them and will protect them even if the pagans were to find them.

Narrated Abu Bakr: I was in the company of the Prophet in the cave, and on seeing the traces of the pagans, I said, "O Allah's Messenger If one of them (pagans) should lift up his foot, he will see us". He said, "What do you think of two, the third of whom is Allah?"

EXPLANATIONS:
In this hadith, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was in a cave with his companion Abu Bakr. When they saw the traces of the pagans outside the cave, Abu Bakr became worried that they would be discovered. The Prophet ﷺ reassured him by saying “What do you think of two, the third of whom is Allah?” This statement implies that no matter what happens or how outnumbered they are by their enemies, God will always be there to protect them and help them out. It teaches us to have faith in God and trust Him even when we feel like we are alone or outnumbered. We should remember that He is always with us and will never leave us alone in our struggles.
