Be fair and honest with orphans; Help those who are less fortunate than you; Take only what is just and reasonable according to your work when managing an orphan’s property.

This hadith explains the verse in the Quran which states that if a guardian is rich, they should not take any wages for managing an orphan's property. However, if they are poor, then they can take what is just and reasonable according to their work and time spent on managing it. This teaches us that those who are in charge of taking care of orphans should be fair and honest with them. They should not exploit them or use their position to gain wealth for themselves. It also teaches us that we must be compassionate towards those who are less fortunate than us and help them out when we can.
