Sahih al-Bukhari 4497 (Book 65, Hadith 24) #4285
Invoking Anything Other Than Allah

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) taught that those who die while invoking anything other than Allah as a rival to Allah will enter Hell, and those who die without invoking anything as a rival to Allah will enter Paradise.

Narrated 'Abdullah: The Prophet said one statement and I said another. The Prophet said "Whoever dies while still invoking anything other than Allah as a rival to Allah, will enter Hell (Fire)". And I said, "Whoever dies without invoking anything as a rival to Allah, will enter Paradise".

QUICK LESSONS:
Believe in one God only and do not associate any partners with Him; live your life according to His teachings; invoke nothing else besides Him when you die; accept accountability for your actions after death .

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught that when we die, our fate is determined by what we believed in life. If we believed in something other than Allah and invoked it as a rival to Him, then we will be sent to Hell. On the other hand, if we did not invoke anything else besides Him, then He will grant us entry into Paradise. This hadith emphasizes the importance of believing in only one God and not associating any partners with Him. It also teaches us that our actions have consequences after death and that it is important for us to live our lives according to His teachings so that He may grant us entry into Paradise on the Day of Judgment.
