Appointment of Ali as Deputy

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) appointed Ali as his deputy in Medina and compared him to Aaron, the brother of Moses. He also mentioned that there will be no prophet after him.

Narrated Sa'd: Allah's Messenger set out for Tabuk. appointing 'Ali as his deputy (in Medina)'.Ali said, "Do you want to leave me with the children and women?" The Prophet said, "Will you not be pleased that you will be to me like Aaron to Moses? But there will be no prophet after me".
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ خَرَجَ إِلَى تَبُوكَ، وَاسْتَخْلَفَ عَلِيًّا فَقَالَ أَتُخَلِّفُنِي فِي الصِّبْيَانِ وَالنِّسَاءِ قَالَ ‏ "‏ أَلاَ تَرْضَى أَنْ تَكُونَ مِنِّي بِمَنْزِلَةِ هَارُونَ مِنْ مُوسَى إِلاَّ أَنَّهُ لَيْسَ نَبِيٌّ بَعْدِي ‏"‏‏.‏ وَقَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ سَمِعْتُ مُصْعَبًا‏.‏

This hadith is about the appointment of Ali as a deputy by the Prophet Muhammed. The Prophet Muhammed compared Ali to Aaron, who was the brother of Moses in Islam. He also mentioned that there would be no prophet after him. This hadith teaches us about loyalty and obedience towards our leaders and how we should respect them for their decisions even if we don't agree with them at times. It also teaches us about humility and how we should accept our roles in life without feeling inferior or superior to others around us. We can learn from this hadith that it is important to have faith in Allah's plan for us and trust His judgement even when things don't go according to our expectations or desires.
