Respect places of worship; Perform necessary expiations for sins committed; Keep mosques clean; Repent sincerely for sins committed

This hadith from Anas bin Malik teaches us that spitting in the mosque is a sin and its expiation is to bury it. It shows us how important it is to respect places of worship and keep them clean. We should not do anything that would make our mosques dirty or disrespectful. Instead, we should take care of them as if they were our own homes.
