This hadith is about proper etiquette when it comes to spitting. It is narrated by Abu Huraira and Abu Sa'id that Prophet Muhammad saw some expectoration on the wall of a mosque. He took gravel and scraped it off, then said that if anyone wanted to spit, they should not do so in front of them nor on their right side, but rather on their left side or under their left foot.
