Forbidden to Eat Donkey Meat

SUMMARY: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) forbade the eating of donkey meat.

Narrated Ibn 'Umar: On the day of Khaibar, Allah's Messenger forbade the eating of donkey meat.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُقَاتِلٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ نَهَى يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ عَنْ لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ الأَهْلِيَّةِ‏.‏

EXPLANATIONS:
On the day of Khaibar, Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) prohibited the consumption of donkey meat. This hadith is a reminder that Muslims should only consume halal food and abstain from haram food. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was sent as a mercy to mankind and he taught us how to live our lives in accordance with Islamic teachings. He also taught us that we should not eat anything that is forbidden by Allah SWT such as pork or donkey meat. This hadith serves as an example for us to follow in order to stay on the right path and be rewarded by Allah SWT in this life and hereafter.
