EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of how Prophet Muhammad ﷺ tested believing women who migrated to him by reciting a verse from the Qur’an. The verse in question is Surah al-Mumtahanah 60:12 which reads “O Prophet! When believing women come to you to take an oath of allegiance that they will not associate anything with Allah in worship…” This verse was used as a test for these women as it was believed that if they could recite this verse then they were true believers and would be accepted into Medina. Abu Basir was also mentioned in this hadith as he was informed when Allah ordered His Apostle to return what these women had given away before migrating. This hadith teaches us about loyalty and faithfulness towards God and how we should strive to be true believers even when faced with difficult tests or situations.
