This hadith is about how to pray during a battle. It was narrated by Salih bin Khawwat that during the battle of Dhat-ur-Riqa, Allah's Messenger led one batch of people in one rak'a while they were lined up behind him. He then stayed in the standing posture while they completed their two rak'ats on their own. Then he offered his remaining rak’ah with another batch who came after them and finished his prayer with Taslim along with them. This hadith teaches us that even when we are faced with difficult situations such as war or battles, we should still remember to pray to Allah for guidance and protection from harm.
