Punishment for Preventing Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) expressed his wish that Allah would punish the infidels for preventing Muslims from offering their 'Asr prayer until the sun had set.

Narrated 'Ali: On the day of Al-Khandaq (ie Trench), the Prophet said '(Let) Allah fill their (ie the infidels') houses and graves with fire just as they have prevented us from offering the Middle Prayer (ie 'Asr prayer) till the sun had set".

QUICK LESSONS:
Respect other people's beliefs , Strive to fulfill religious obligations

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's reaction to a situation in which he and his followers were prevented from performing their 'Asr prayer until after sunset. He wished that Allah would punish those who had done this by filling their houses and graves with fire. This teaches us that we should always strive to fulfill our religious obligations, even when faced with opposition or difficulty, and that those who prevent others from doing so will be punished by Allah. It also reminds us of the importance of respecting other people's beliefs and practices, as well as our own.
