QUICK LESSONS:
Give generously without expecting anything in return
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of generosity and gratitude. It was narrated by Aishah, may Allah be pleased with her, that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) slaughtered a sheep and distributed its meat among people. When asked if there was anything left, she replied that only the shoulder remained. The Prophet then said “All of it is left except its shoulder”, teaching us to never forget even the smallest of things when giving charity or sharing something with others. He also taught us to always give generously without expecting anything in return as a sign of our faith in God's mercy and grace. This hadith encourages us to practice ihsan (excellence in all aspects of life including generosity towards others) and infaq (spending on charitable causes).
