Generosity and Compassion of the Prophet

SUMMARY: The Prophet (PBUH) distributed wealth to people and 'Umar (RA) questioned him about it. The Prophet (PBUH) replied that he did not want the people to beg of him or think of him as a miser.

'Umar (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah distributed some wealth and I said to him, "O Messenger of Allah! Do you not think that there are other people who are more deserving than these whom you gave". He said, "They had, in fact, left no alternative for me except either they should beg of me importunately or they would regard me as a miser; but I am not a miser". Muslim.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the generosity and compassion of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. He was known for his kindness and giving nature, even when it came to distributing wealth among those who were less fortunate than himself. He did not want anyone to have to beg from him or think that he was a miserly person who would not give out charity. Instead, he wanted everyone to be able to benefit from his generosity without feeling embarrassed or ashamed for having asked for help in the first place. This hadith teaches us that we should always strive towards being generous with our resources so that no one has to feel like they are begging for help in order for them to get what they need in life.
