EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the protection of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ from invoking evil upon three people. It was narrated by Salim bin 'Abdullah that Allah's Messenger ﷺ used to invoke evil upon Safwan bin Umaiya, Suhail bin 'Amr and Al-Harith bin Hisham. In response to this invocation, Allah revealed a verse in the Quran which stated that it was not for the Prophet ﷺ to invoke such evil as they were wrong-doers. This hadith teaches us that we should not take matters into our own hands and instead rely on God for justice and protection. We should also be mindful of our words and actions as they can have consequences beyond what we can imagine.
