The Everlasting Opportunity of Repentance

SUMMARY: Allah is always giving people the opportunity to repent and seek forgiveness for their sins.

Abu Musa (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet said, "Allah, the Exalted, stretches His Hand during the night so that those who commit sins by day may repent, and He stretches His Hand in the day so that those who commit sins by night may repent. He keeps doing so until the sun rises from the West". Muslim.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the mercy of Allah and how He gives us an everlasting opportunity to repent for our sins. It is narrated by Abu Musa that Prophet Muhammad said that Allah stretches His Hand during the night so that those who commit sins by day may repent, and He stretches His Hand in the day so that those who commit sins by night may repent. This means that no matter what time it is or what we have done wrong, we can always turn back to Him in repentance and ask for forgiveness. Even if we have committed a sin multiple times or if it seems like there is no hope left for us, Allah will still give us a chance to make things right again. We should never lose hope in His mercy as He will always be there waiting for us with open arms when we decide to come back to Him.
