Mentioning Parents for Others

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) never mentioned both his father and mother for anyone other than Sa'd.

Narrated 'Ali: I have never heard the Prophet mentioning both his father and mother for anybody other than Sa'd.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ، عَنْ سَعْدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شَدَّادٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا ـ رضى الله عنه ـ يَقُولُ مَا سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ يَجْمَعُ أَبَوَيْهِ لأَحَدٍ غَيْرَ سَعْدٍ‏.‏

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of the importance of respecting one's parents, as it is narrated by 'Ali that he has never heard the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ mentioning both his father and mother for anyone other than Sa'd. This shows us that we should always respect our parents, no matter what. We should also be mindful of how we talk about them in front of others, as this hadith teaches us to not mention our parents in a negative light when talking to others. Furthermore, this hadith also teaches us to be kind and respectful towards those who are close to us, such as family members or friends. We should always show them love and appreciation so that they can feel valued and respected by us.
