The Least Tortured on Judgement Day

SUMMARY: On the Day of Resurrection, the least tortured person will have two live coals placed under their feet and their brain boiling, but they will think they are the most tortured.

Nu'man bin Bashir (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: Messenger of Allah said, "The least tortured man on the Day of Resurrection is one underneath whose feet will be placed two live coal, and his brain will be boiling, and he would think that he is the most tortured, while he is the least tortured". Al-Bukhari and Muslim.

QUICK LESSONS:
Be grateful for whatever punishments you receive in this world as it could be much worse in the hereafter.

EXPLANATIONS:
On the Day of Judgment, everyone will be judged for their actions in life. The least punished person on that day will have two live coals placed under their feet and their brain boiling. Despite this punishment, they would still think that they are being more harshly punished than anyone else. This hadith teaches us to be grateful for whatever punishment we receive in this world as it could be much worse in the hereafter. We should also remember that no matter how hard our situation may seem at times, there is always someone who has it worse than us and we should not take our blessings for granted.
