Expressing Love for Others

SUMMARY: This hadith is about expressing love for others and the importance of verbalizing it.

Anas bin Malik (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: A man was with the Prophet when another man passed by and the former said: "O Messenger of Allah! I love this man (for Allah's sake)". Messenger of Allah asked, "Have you informed him?" He said, "No". Messenger of Allah then said, "Tell him (that you love him)". So he went up to the man and said to him, "I love you for the sake of Allah;" and the other replied, "May Allah, for Whose sake you love me, love you". Abu Dawud.

QUICK LESSONS:
Express your feelings of love towards others

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks to the importance of expressing love for others. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was with a man who expressed his love for another person, but he hadn't told him yet. The Prophet ﷺ then instructed him to go tell the other person that he loved them. When he did, the other person replied with a blessing that Allah would also love him in return. This hadith teaches us that we should express our love and appreciation for those around us, as it can bring blessings from Allah and make both parties feel good. It also shows us how important it is to be kind and generous with our words towards one another, as this can have a positive impact on our relationships with each other.
