The Seven Who Will Receive Shade From The Throne

SUMMARY: This hadith speaks of seven people who will be given shade from Allah's throne on the Day of Judgement. These people are a just ruler, a youth who worships Allah, someone whose heart is attached to mosques, two people who love and meet each other for the sake of Allah, someone who rejects an offer from an attractive woman out of fear for Allah, someone who gives charity in secret and remembers Allah in solitude.

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet said, "Seven are (the persons) whom Allah will give Shade of His Thrown on the Day when there would be no shade other than His Throne's Shade: A just ruler; a youth who grew up worshipping Allah; a man whose heart is attached to mosques; two persons who love and meet each other and depart from each other for the sake of Allah; a man whom an extremely beautiful woman seduces (for illicit relation), but he (rejects this offer by saying): 'I fear Allah'; a man who gives in charity and conceals it (to such an extent) that the left hand does not know what the right has given; and a person who remembers Allah in solitude and his eyes well up". Al-Bukhari and Muslim.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about seven individuals that will receive shade from the throne on the Day of Judgement. These individuals include a just ruler, a youth that has grown up worshipping God, someone whose heart is attached to mosques and loves to visit them often; two people that love each other for the sake of God; someone that rejects an offer from an attractive woman out of fear for God; someone that gives charity in secret so much so that even their left hand does not know what their right hand has given; and finally one who remembers God in solitude and his eyes well up with tears. All these individuals have done good deeds throughout their lives which will be rewarded by being granted shade under the throne on judgement day. It teaches us to strive towards doing good deeds as they can lead us closer to our Creator and help us gain His mercy on judgement day.
