Giving away wealth in charity is important; Respect & love for Allah's Apostle should be prioritized over one’s own kin; Do good deeds towards others; Be generous with your wealth; Follow teachings & sayings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ .

This hadith is about the importance of charity over inheritance. It was narrated by 'Aisha that Fatima and Al-'Abbas came to Abu Bakr asking for their inheritance from the Prophet's land of Fadak and his share from Khaibar. However, Abu Bakr refused their request as he remembered a saying of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ): "Our property is not inherited, and whatever we leave is to be given in charity". He then said that he would rather do good for the family of Allah's Apostle than his own family. This hadith teaches us that giving away our wealth in charity is more important than passing it down through inheritance. It also shows us how much respect and love Abu Bakr had for the family of Allah's Apostle, even more so than his own kin.
