Relying on Allah in Difficult Times

SUMMARY: This hadith is about the importance of trusting in Allah and relying on Him in times of difficulty.

Abu Bakr As-Siddiq (May Allah be pleased with him) said: When Messenger of Allah and I were in the cave of Thawr and I saw the feet of the polytheists who were above us at the mouth of the cave (on the eve of the Emigration), I submitted: "O Messenger of Allah! If one of them were to look down below his feet, he would see us". He said, "O Abu Bakr! What do you think of two whose third is Allah". Al-Bukhari and Muslim.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of trusting in Allah and relying on Him during difficult times. It was narrated by Abu Bakr As-Siddiq, one of the closest companions to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. In this hadith, Abu Bakr was worried that they would be discovered while hiding from their enemies in a cave. The Prophet ﷺ responded by saying “What do you think of two whose third is Allah?” This statement emphasizes that when we are faced with difficulties, we should trust that God will protect us and take care of us no matter what happens. We should not worry or fear because God will always be there for us if we rely on Him. We can learn from this hadith to have faith and trust in God even when things seem impossible or uncertain; He will always provide a way out for those who put their trust in Him.
