Beating Wives without Explanation

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) taught that a man should not be asked to explain why he has beaten his wife.

'Umar (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that: The Prophet said, "No man shall be asked for the reason of beating his wife". Abu Dawud.
