The Reward of Patience

SUMMARY: Allah rewards those who are patient in times of difficulty.

Abu Sa'id and Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet said: "Never a believer is stricken with a discomfort, an illness, an anxiety, a grief or mental worry or even the pricking of a thorn but Allah will expiate his sins on account of his patience". Al-Bukhari and Muslim.
وعن أبي سعيد وأبي هريرة رضي الله عنهما عن النبي قال‏:‏ ‏ "‏ما يصيب المسلم من نصب ولا وصب ولا هم ولا حزن ولا أذى ولا غم، حتى الشوكة يشاكها إلا كفر الله بها من خطاياه‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏متفق عليه‏)‏‏)‏ ‏.‏ '‏و‏ ‏الوصب‏ ‏':‏ المرض

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks to the importance of patience in times of difficulty. It is reported that the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said that whenever a believer experiences any kind of discomfort, illness, anxiety, grief or mental worry or even the pricking of a thorn then Allah will forgive their sins due to their patience. This hadith teaches us that no matter how difficult our situation may be we should remain patient and trust in God’s plan for us. We should remember that if we remain steadfast and patient during our trials then God will reward us for it.
