Visiting Allah's Messenger

SUMMARY: Itban bin Malik, a companion of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and one of the warriors of Badr, visited Allah's Messenger.

Narrated Mahmud bin Ar-Rabi: That 'Itban bin Malik who was one of the companions of the Prophet and one of the warriors of Badr, came to Allah's Messenger .
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي مَحْمُودُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ، أَنَّ عِتْبَانَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، وَكَانَ، مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ مِمَّنْ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ أَنَّهُ أَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ‏.‏

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the importance of visiting Allah’s messenger. Itban bin Malik was one of the companions and warriors in the Battle of Badr who visited Allah’s messenger to show his respect and reverence for him. This hadith teaches us that we should always show respect to those who are close to God and have been chosen by Him as His messengers. We should also strive to visit them whenever possible as it is a sign of our faith in God and His messengers. Furthermore, this hadith also teaches us that we should always strive to be like those who are close to God so that we can gain His blessings in this life and hereafter.
