QUICK LESSONS:
Spend generously on your family .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith, narrated by Abu Masud Al-Badri, teaches us that spending on one's family is an act of charity. It is a reminder to us that we should not forget our families when it comes to giving charity and doing good deeds. We should remember that taking care of our families and providing for them are acts of kindness and generosity in the eyes of Allah. This hadith also reminds us to be generous with our families, as they are the ones who have been there for us since the beginning and will continue to be there for us no matter what happens.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught his followers that spending on one’s family was a form of charity because it showed love, compassion, and kindness towards those closest to you. He reminded his followers that taking care of their families was just as important as taking care of others in need outside their homes. The Prophet ﷺ also taught his followers about the importance of being generous with their wealth; he said “Whoever gives away something out of his wealth seeking Allah’s pleasure will find its reward with Allah” [Bukhari].

This hadith encourages Muslims to take care not only financially but also emotionally and spiritually for their families; this includes providing them with food, shelter, clothing, education etc., but also showing them love and compassion through words or actions such as spending quality time together or helping out around the house without being asked first. Taking care for your family can come in many forms; it could be something small like buying groceries or something bigger like helping your children pay off student loans or medical bills if needed - all these acts are considered charitable deeds in Islam because they show love towards those closest to you which is ultimately pleasing in the eyes of Allah SWT .
