Prohibiting Urination in Stagnant Water

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) forbade urinating into stagnant water.

Jabir (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah forbade urinating into stagnant water. Muslim.
عن جابر رضي الله عنه ‏:‏ أن رسول الله نهى أن يبال في الماء الراكد‏.‏‏ رواه مسلم‏

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is narrated by Jabir ibn Abdullah may Allah be pleased with him. It states that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ forbade urinating into stagnant water. This prohibition is part of the Islamic law which is based on the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah. The purpose of this prohibition is to maintain cleanliness in our environment as well as to protect us from any potential harm that could come from it such as diseases or illnesses caused by bacteria or germs found in stagnant water. Furthermore, this hadith also teaches us about being mindful of our actions and how they can affect our environment negatively if we are not careful enough. We should always strive to keep our environment clean for ourselves as well as for future generations so that they can enjoy a healthy life too!
