QUICK LESSONS:
Follow Islamic laws regarding obligatory practices such as Ramadan ; Be mindful when engaging in optional activities like voluntary fasting ; Practice moderation in all things including religious practices .
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the prohibition of observing continuous voluntary fasts beyond one day. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us that it is not permissible to observe a continuous voluntary fast for more than one day. This means that if someone wants to observe a voluntary fast, they should only do so for one day at a time and then take a break before fasting again. It is important to note that this does not apply to obligatory fasting such as during Ramadan or other religious holidays; those must still be observed as prescribed by Islamic law. However, when it comes to voluntary fasting, it should only be done for one day at a time in order to maintain good health and wellbeing.
