QUICK LESSONS:
Follow instructions from religious leaders and focus on performing one's obligations as a Muslim.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us that when the call to prayer known as ‘Iqamah’ is made, we should only perform our obligatory prayers and not any other voluntary prayers. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was teaching his followers how to properly practice their faith and ensure they are fulfilling their obligations as Muslims. He wanted them to understand that it was important to focus on performing their obligatory prayers first before anything else. This hadith also reminds us of the importance of following instructions from religious leaders in order for us to stay on track with our spiritual journey.
