QUICK LESSONS:
Keep your hands away from your sides while performing salat or prayer.
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith from Abu Hurairah states that it is forbidden to place one's hands on their sides while performing salat or prayer. This prohibition applies to all Muslims regardless of age or gender. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught us that when we pray, we should keep our hands away from our sides and instead keep them in front of us in a state of humility and reverence for Allah. We must remember that prayer is an act of worship and devotion towards Allah and so it should be done with utmost respect and concentration. By keeping our hands away from our sides during salat, we are showing respect for this sacred act as well as demonstrating our commitment to following the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
