Riyad as-Salihin 1738 (Book 17, Hadith 228) #38227
Good Behaviour and its Rewards

SUMMARY: The best way to be close to the Prophet (PBUH) on the Day of Resurrection is to have good behaviour.

Jabir bin 'Abdullah (May Allah be pleased with them) said: The Messenger of Allah said, "The dearest and the closest of you to me on the Day of Resurrection will be those who are the best in behaviour; and the most hateful and the farthest from me on the Day of Resurrection will be the talkative and the most pretentious and the most rhetorical". At-Tirmidhi.

QUICK LESSONS:
Strive for good behaviour in our daily lives .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith by Jabir bin 'Abdullah highlights the importance of having good behaviour in order to be close to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). On the Day of Resurrection, those who are most talkative and pretentious will be far away from him. This hadith teaches us that we should strive for good behaviour in our daily lives as it will bring us closer to Allah's Messenger on the day when all deeds will be judged. We should focus on being kind and courteous towards others instead of talking too much or trying too hard to impress people. Doing so will bring us closer not only to Allah's Messenger but also His mercy and blessings.
