Riyad as-Salihin 1727 (Book 17, Hadith 217) #38216
Supplicating for Good and Seeking Refuge from Evil of Wind

SUMMARY: This hadith teaches us to not revile the wind and instead, supplicate to Allah for the good of it and seek refuge from its evil.

Abul-Mundhir Ubaiy bin Ka'b (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah said, "Do not revile the wind. When you experience something abominable (about it), supplicate: 'Allahumma inna nas'aluka min khairi hadhihir-rihi, wa khairi ma fiha, wa khairi ma umirat bihi. (O Allah, we beg of You the good of this wind and the good of that which it contains and the good of that which it has been commanded; and we seek refuge in you from the evil of this wind and the evil of that which it contains and the evil of that which it has been commanded)". At-Tirmidhi.

QUICK LESSONS:
Supplicate to Allah , Seek refuge in Him from its evil

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about how we should respond when we experience something abominable about the wind. Instead of reviling it, we should supplicate to Allah for the good of this wind, the good that is contained in it, and the good that has been commanded by Him. We should also seek refuge in Allah from any evil associated with this wind, such as any harm or destruction that may be caused by it. This hadith teaches us to be grateful for all things given to us by Allah and not take them for granted. It also reminds us that even though some things may seem bad or unpleasant at first glance, they can still have a positive purpose or outcome if we turn our attention towards seeking help from Allah.
