The Appearance of Gabriel on the Day of Badr

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) saw Gabriel on the day of the battle of Badr, holding the head of his horse and equipped with arms for battle.

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: The Prophet said on the day (of the battle) of Badr, "This is Gabriel holding the head of his horse and equipped with arms for the battle.
حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَى، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ قَالَ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ ‏ "‏ هَذَا جِبْرِيلُ آخِذٌ بِرَأْسِ فَرَسِهِ ـ عَلَيْهِ أَدَاةُ الْحَرْبِ

EXPLANATIONS:
On the day of Badr, a major battle in Islamic history, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ saw an angel named Jibreel who was holding a horse's head and was equipped with weapons. This hadith shows us that Allah is always watching over us and will help us when we are in need. It also teaches us to be brave and courageous even when faced with difficult situations. We should have faith that Allah will help us if we put our trust in Him.
