Using Arrows Sparingly in Battle

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) advised his companions to use their arrows sparingly when they were outnumbered by their enemies.

Narrated Abu Usaid: On the day of (the battle of) Badr, Allah's Messenger said to us, "When your enemy comes near to you (ie overcome you by sheer number), shoot at them but use your arrows sparingly".

QUICK LESSONS:
Use your resources wisely; be strategic in battle; be patient; shoot but use arrows sparingly.
EXPLANATIONS:
On the day of the battle of Badr, the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) gave his companions advice on how to fight against their enemies. He told them that when they were outnumbered, they should shoot at their enemies but use their arrows sparingly. This means that they should not waste any arrows and only shoot when necessary. This hadith teaches us about being wise and strategic in battle, as well as being mindful of our resources and not wasting them unnecessarily. It also teaches us about being patient and using our skills wisely instead of relying on brute force or luck alone.
