EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) condemnation of usury. Usury is a type of loan where the borrower pays back more money than they borrowed in the first place. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) cursed those who accept, pay, record and witness this type of loan. He wanted to make sure that people did not take advantage of each other by charging too much interest on loans or taking advantage of someone else's financial situation. This hadith teaches us that we should not take part in any activity that involves taking advantage of someone else financially or otherwise. We should also strive to help others in need instead of exploiting them for our own gain.
