EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the reward of asking for martyrdom. It is reported by Sahl bin Hunaif that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that whoever supplicates Allah sincerely for martyrdom, Allah will elevate him to the station of the martyrs, even if he dies on his bed. This hadith teaches us that we should always strive to do good deeds and ask Allah sincerely from our hearts and He will grant us whatever we ask for. Even if we don't get what we asked for in this life, it doesn't mean that our prayers were not answered; rather, it could be a sign from Allah that He has something better planned out for us in the hereafter. We should never give up hope and keep striving towards righteousness with faith and patience as these are qualities which are greatly rewarded by Allah.
