QUICK LESSONS:
Pay your debts and fulfill your obligations even if you are facing difficult circumstances or hardships in life. Fight for a just cause and defend your faith or country when necessary.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the expiation of martyrdom. It was narrated by Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al-'As who reported that the Messenger of Allah said that Allah forgives every sin of a martyr except his debt. Being martyred in the Cause of Allah expiates for everything, except debt. This means that if someone dies while fighting for a just cause and defending their faith or country, then they will be forgiven all their sins and will not have to answer for them on Judgment Day - with one exception; any debts they owe must still be paid off even after death. This teaches us to always pay our debts and fulfill our obligations even if we are facing difficult circumstances or hardships in life.
