QUICK LESSONS:
Break your fast healthily and mindfully; strive for balance in nutrition even when resources are scarce .

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by Anas ibn Malik states that the Prophet Muhammad used to break his fast before performing Maghrib prayer with either three fresh date-fruits, if available; or else he would eat three dry dates; and if there were no dry dates available, he would take three draughts of water. This hadith teaches us that it is important to break our fast in a healthy way and not just consume anything we can find. It also shows us the importance of moderation in our diet as well as being mindful of what we are consuming. Furthermore, it teaches us that even when resources are scarce, we should still strive for balance in our diets and make sure to get enough nutrients from whatever food sources are available.
