The Rewards of Fasting

SUMMARY: Fasting for one day for the sake of Allah will draw a person's face farther from Hell-fire to the extent of a distance to be covered in seventy years.

Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah said, "Every slave of Allah who observes Saum (fasting) for one day for the sake of Allah, Allah will draw his face farther from Hell-fire to the extent of a distance to be covered in seventy years". QUICK LESSONS:
Have faith in God's commands and rewards , Fast regularly out of devotion towards God

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the rewards that come with fasting for one day for the sake of Allah. According to this hadith narrated by Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri, if someone fasts one day out of devotion and love for Allah then they will be rewarded with their face being drawn farther away from hell fire by a distance that would take seventy years to cover. This means that if someone fasts regularly then they are more likely to stay away from hell fire and enter paradise instead. It also teaches us how important it is to have faith in God and follow His commands as He will reward us greatly in return.
