Promoting Greetings, Feeding the Poor & Needy, and Praying at Night for Jannah

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) encourages people to promote greetings, feed the poor and needy, and perform Salat when others are asleep in order to enter Jannah safely.

'Abdullah bin Salam (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet said, "O people, promote the greetings, feed (the poor and needy) and perform Salat when others are asleep so that you will enter Jannah safely". At-Tirmidhi.
وعن عبد الله بن سلام، رضي الله عنه ، أن النبي، ،قال‏:‏ ‏ "‏أيها الناس أفشوا السلام، وأطعموا الطعام، وصلوا بالليل والناس نيام، تدخلوا الجنة بسلام‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏رواه الترمذي وقال‏:‏ حديث حسن صحيح‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about how we can be rewarded with entry into paradise if we practice certain behaviors. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ encourages us to promote greetings among each other by saying salam or peace. He also encourages us to give charity or zakat in order to help those who are less fortunate than us. Lastly, he tells us that if we pray salah when others are asleep then this will help ensure our entry into paradise or jannah. All of these behaviors demonstrate kindness towards others as well as faithfulness towards Allah SWT which will be rewarded with a place in jannah.
