Riyad as-Salihin 1140 (Book 8, Hadith 150) #37629
The Rewards of Morning Charity and Worship

SUMMARY: This hadith explains that every morning, one should perform acts of charity and worship such as glorifying Allah, praising Him, declaring His greatness, enjoining good and forbidding evil. Additionally, two Rak'ah Duha prayers in the forenoon are equal to all these acts combined.

Abu Dharr (May Allah be pleased with him)reported: The Prophet said, "In the morning, charity is due on every joint bone of the body of everyone of you. Every utterance of Allah's Glorification (ie, saying Subhan Allah) is an act of charity, and every utterance of His Praise (ie, saying Al-hamdu lillah) is an act of charity and every utterance of declaration of His Greatness (ie, saying La ilaha illAllah) is an act of charity; and enjoining M'aruf (good) is an act of charity, and forbidding Munkar (evil) is an act of charity, and two Rak'ah Duha prayers which one performs in the forenoon is equal to all this (in reward)". Muslim.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith from Prophet Muhammad ﷺ teaches us the importance of performing charitable deeds in the morning. We can do this by glorifying Allah through saying Subhan Allah, praising Him with Alhamdulillah and declaring His greatness with La ilaha illAllah. We can also do this by enjoining good deeds and forbidding bad ones. Furthermore, two Rak’ah Duha prayers in the forenoon are equal to all these acts combined. These teachings remind us that we should always strive to be kind to others and spread goodness around us no matter how small our actions may seem because they will be rewarded greatly by Allah SWT.
